Bestiary and sulptures with clean lines
Upon arrival at the chalet, we notice this stone bear which points its muzzle towards the chalet, perched from the top of an imposing rock where the source flows. It is our little "Jean" bear, mascot and symbol of the La Source chalet.
Sculpted in Lourdes stone, it is signed by a renowned artist from the region, Jean-Jacques Abdallah.
As a romantic of the Pyrenees, his fauna and his flora, his sculptures are largely inspired by the animal world , characterized by simple lines, with a geometric tendency, which “come out of the stone”.
Jean-Jacques notably produced the Saint Martin de Gaillagos , the Aries and Taurus of Arras-en-Lavedan , or the Eagle de Cauterets on the Demontzey path.
Jean-Jacques also sculpts abstract characters and , and many other creations on order.
