To get to the Chalet La Source

45, avenue du Mamelon Vert, 65110 Cauterets

By road

  • Since the A64, exit n ° 11 direction Lourdes
  • Cross Lourdes and take the D821 towards Cauterets
  • In Pierrefitte, continue on the D920 towards Cauterets
  • Arriving in Cauterets: after the mountain crossroads, turn right on the D312, on the avenue du Mamelon Green. Follow this avenue over 3.5 km.
  • Arrival at destination: on your right, there is a panel with the chalet logo.
  • Take the path to which you bring you at the entrance to the chalet (gray gate) and go up to the parking lot.

Please note the winter equipment (chains or socks, snow tires) are compulsory to come to Cauterets from November 1.

Train + bus

  • Arrival at the TGV station in Lourdes-TGV Paris-Lourdes indicative time: 6 a.m.
  • Daily bus service Gare de Lourdes-Cauterets station (line 965)-around 55 min. No online booking, payment on the bus.
  • Valet service from Tarbes or Lourdes, on request when booking.

Plane + Bus

  • Paris-Orly / Tarbes daily flights.
  • Tarbes - Cauterets airport bus shuttle, open during the stations opening periods. Journey time about 1 hour.

  • Another option: the 965 bus line, which stops in Lourdes, leaves Tarbes and stops at the airport. Travel time approximately 2 hours (many stops).

  • Pastry at Gilou: 3 rue de la Raillère, and its famous blueberry pie with secret recipe!

  • Vival and Carrefour Contact supermarkets: very practical, the 2 located by General Leclerc in the center.
  • Carrefour Mountain with service station just at the entrance to the village on the Pierrefitte road.

Free Cyticab shuttle

  • The weekend and during school holidays.
  • The chalet La Source is on line 1, between the chestnuts and the green nipple. The fastest to go to the cable car is the chestnut stopping, 50m from the chalet, going up the avenue.

Cauterets Bus / Spanish Pont

  • From mid-December to late March
  • From the Cauterets bus station to the Pont d'Espagne, with stops at the Egg Esflanade, at the Camping Car parking (avenue Charles Thierry), at La Raillère, at Bois (bottom of the Road of Fruitière).
