The Acumpanyat Ice School  offers outings of one to several days, supervised by experienced high mountain guides, in ice formations around Cauterets and Gavarnie.

The monitors teach security techniques, how to evolve in rope and communicate effectively between partners.

Although receiving at all levels of mountaineering, ice climbing, however, involves  mastering basic techniques on rock, and good physical condition.
